So finally decided to get a wheel whats best value for money/best feel etc?

Fanatec csl elite

https://www.fanatec.com/eu-en/bundle/product/csl-e...

Thrust master tx-sw

http://mobile.thrustmaster.com/node/7751

Thrustmaster tmx pro

http://mobile.thrustmaster.com/en_UK/products/tmx-...

Is there much difference between the tmx & tx-Sw

Logitech g920 - i know cuttys has a cheap deal on this one.

https://www.logitechg.com/en-gb/product/g920-drivi...

So that appears to be the choices. Going by reviews the fanatec is supposed to be the best but not sure I want to spend that much.

So looking for opinions and other options thanks.

I have used Logitech for years and Thrustmaster stuff feels better. Fanatic is better by all accounts but the impression I get is it’s more temperamental. You’ll probably need a PC connected to the internet to upgrade software/firmware on Thrustmaster and Fanatec gear every so often, whereas Logitech will generally just work.

My Thrustmaster went for repair recently, and I used the G29 while it was away. It feels like a toy in comparison, much weaker FFB but I still enjoyed playing and it made virtually no difference in terms of laptime once I got used to it.

Also if it’s a permanent setup that you have Thrustmaster and Fanatec stuff will be fine but if you need to set up and de-rig after playing the Logitech wheelbase is much lighter and easier to set up generally.

I started with the G920 and shifter and had it for a year and a half. Was great, did the trick and I really enjoyed it.

I was at a Mall in October and they had a Thrustmaster set up with VR. Having VR at home wanted to really just try the Thrustmaster gear.

I walked away from the stand with amazon on my phone ordering Thrustmaster gear.

I now have a TX with the GT28 rim, TH8A shifter and T3PA pro pedals and love it.

The Thrustmaster seems more sturdy, more smooth, better ffb and the options to change out rims is great. Looking back the G920 did feel a bit toy like but a great entry point when on sale.

The Thrustmaster shifter can change to H or sequential in under a minute but can also be used in analogue mode for a handbrake when on pc.

So going by other things I have seen about looks like thrust masters the one to go for.

In that case is the TX-SW worth the extra over the TX?

Thrustmaster is the one to go for between them and Logitech. The belt drive is so much smoother than the notchy crap you get with Logitech.

I wouldn't be paying an extra £400+ for a Sparco steering wheel and some stickers, no.

So is the base the same but with fancy red bits?
