Ok, its old, very old but its been with me a long time, this is the fella, my grandma gave me her music centre years ago and this is the last bit, I have had it 20 plus years, then my son has used it for years and given it some serious hammer.

Its just stopped working, no lights or anything, checked the obvious, i.e. the fuses, it didnt make any noises, smells or anything, no obviously dead components, dont want to throw it, want to get it working again.
So, where next with it, I don't want to take it in, want to use it to learn on.

That amp has an unusual power supply.
It's a switched mode PSU*, and contains some lethal voltages, not the kind of thing you want to be messing around with, if you don't know what you're doing.
Given the apparent lack of any damage, I suspect the power supply is blown - it might even just be a capacitor, but could be worse.
Chances are, it's not worth repairing, and if you wait long enough, you'll find a replacement on Ebay - or just buy something else.
