Discussion
Hi, I am after some advice on an oil leak I have discovered on my 2009 1.0 Life corsa Appears to be dripping from the area on the image and nowhere else. Firstly what is this part (no clue about cars) and how much and how easy would it be to replace. Thanks in advance for any help, like I said I am useless with cars and recommended to come here.
Oil pressure sensor.
Common as muck on those engines.
Sensor costs a few quid, unplug & wind out with an adjustable spanner and wind the new one in. You'll probably find the little seal in the electrical plug is swollen from the oil but it won't hurt taking it out so you can re-insert the plug. Check the oil level after.
If you're with the AA - they actually carry the sensors on their vans.
