Violent vibration
Discussion
Recently purchased a Vauxhall combo van,and at roughly around 55-60mph I get a bad vibration through the cabin I initially thought the tyres needed replacing so bought some second hand wheels wheels and tyres as I wanted to change the large alloys it came with anyway and hoped that it would have gone away but It hasn’t I think maybe it’s got worse in fact I take car out of gear and it’s still there so I don’t think it’s engine related.
Could this simply be wheels need balancing ?

Is it only at this speed, and in no way at all at any other time ? And no other strange behaviours when driving ?
You seem to say you have Vauxhall wheels fitted...so it shouldnt be an issue with regards that aspect and wheels fitting the hubs etc ok, although I guess potentially actual tyres could be suspect.
If you have not changed tyres yet, try swapping wheels front to rear, and/or diagonally too to see if anything changes.

Your right it was the wheels that needed balancing but also found out that he wrong wheels are fitted with completely wrong offset causing all sorts of problems with handling and speedo I have another thread about this here
