Mine's had it

I've disconnected the old one and the alarm was sounding, or at least attempting to!

When I put the new one, is there anything to watch out for? I know I'm going to have to reset the clock, put in the radio code, but is there anything else to watch out for? I'm mainly concerned that the alarm will not deactivate, or am I worrying unnecessarily?

Most UK cars have a supplemental alarm siren that is in addition to the alarm horn. The siren has a built in rechargeable battery. If you disconnect the car battery then the siren goes off. Therefore you first need to turn on the key before you disconnect the battery cables.

You have the steps when you hook up the new battery. You should also run the windows all the way up and down a few times.
