Thought I’d pop a pick of a garage in Ipswich today.

Well....that oil doesn’t look new, so my first thought was that waste oil container in the corner but I think not, somehow. Nor could it be the car with that much oil.

Go on then, what happened?biggrin

I think that type of oil drainer is emptied using compressed air to pressurise the tank.
My guess is that they went to empty the tank & either blew a hose off, split a hose or forgot to open the appropriate valves & overpressurised it.

This ^^^^^^.

Or if the compressed air hose was put on before the drain hose.

I worked at a garage with the same system.

Got messy sometimes.

The OP's pic does have a VERY large oil slick in it though.
