I picked up three cracking little indie gems so far for less than £30.

Wrongworld is a quite bizarre survival game in EA. I don't think I will get lots of hours out of it but what I have played is brilliant and quite funny. The dev is a british guy and very responsive and passionate about the game. A day ago I pointed out some clipping problems and a grammar error on the forums and he replied within the hour saying he would get them fixed. He took the time in the holidays to type long replies to our conversation, top bloke.

Mini Metro is a great little puzzle game based around running various underground networks. Not a tycoon type game though its more about managing ever increasing numbers of passengers. It has a very simple UI and simple and soothing gameplay. I think I paid £3.50 for it.

The best one is Astroneers which I picked up today. Its another EA survival game but its absolutely fantastic as you can play cooperatively. I have played about 6 hours with a mate in Belgium today with me hosting the game and we had one tiny bit of desync. Really nice artstyle and again really chilled gaming.

Anyone else get any good ones?

I have noticed with steam sales that games like DiRT rally always pop up, out of sale time it's 39.99, in sale time its 7.99!! the same games pop up again and again you'd be mad to buy them out of sale period.

Also I find sites like instant gaming even cheaper than steam and very easy to use.
I am a steam noob so this is aimed at new users as the old guard will know all this already.

DiRT rally on instant gaming site is £5 for example.

What I find staggering are games like the COD series, even off sales, a 10 year old, game is still 20 quid, and they rarely go int eh sale bin, almost like they don't want people to buy it!

Thanks for that, I've had that on my wishlist for a while now. I'll grab it and have a go.
