How much are cheap half decent projectors for a bedroom - can i project on to a white wall? Distance is about 9 feet from wall to wall where it will be placed.

A friend had a LED projector about £200 which was ok but cant recall the make. Any advice and links appreciated. Wont get a massive amount of use just watching general tv on catchup. Do they include apps within the projector?

thanks

Take a look at Epson and BenQ.

Keep an eye on camelcamelcamel. This Epson is often around £500 (pretty sure it was £500 in Richer Sounds not long ago). Looks like it was £318 for a while last December.

You will likely need something like a set top box to feed it with a picture and some kind of speakers/soundbar as most projectors don't have speakers built in (those that do are only tiny 1 watt ones you wouldn't want to watch a film through). You might find a cheap BluRay player with apps on it for Netflix/Amazon/iPlayer type apps as the projector typically won't have any (think of it like a computer monitor).

FWIW I use a Sony UHD player into my projector for Netflix/Amazon video/iPlayer and of course disc playback. We did some binge watching of some Netflix series last night and the picture looked great (1080p since I haven't got 4K set up yet).
