Well, the very sad day has come where we have decided to bow out of TVR ownership. 
Certain circumstances (which I am not going into here) have resulted in the decision to sell the Chim. So if anyone wants a very nice, very low mileage, well looked after car take a peek at the classifieds in the next day or so.
And if you see a mad woman in a silver Mini (old school) waving frantically at you while you are driving along in your TVR, take pity and wave back will you?
Gutted.

There are too few of us Tiv owning ladies as it is. Really *really* sorry to hear this, Ace-T I know how I'd feel if I had to give up my Chimaera so I can fully empathize with you.

Comiserations,I know how you are feeling, only consolation is aim towards getting another one in the future! We always wave at anyone!
Just caught up with this thread.
Really sorry to hear that the Chim has to go.
I have also been faced with the prospect of having to get rid of mine recently - but in the end have decided that i couldnt part with it - luckily for me at the moment it is not essential i sell - but it is not a nice decision to have to be faced with.
hope things go well for you soon and that you can return to the TVR fold in the future.

awww, you have my complete sympathy
, I was so miserable when Beano500 drove away in my Tuscan. I hope that something positive comes out of this for you and you find yourself driving something wonderful in the not too distant future.

Thanks for all the tea and sympathy folks. Much appreciated as I am feeling extremely sorry for myself, just having got back from Spain with work and got a tummy bug

Anyhoo I have decided that I am allocating £1000 to go toward 'blinging up' the Mini
A bit of paint and bodywork needs doing before it gets too bad and I would really like to pop on some entertaining suspension and some new wheels. The wise ones over in the Mini forum
have already given loads of advice about the shocks and stuff but I really like the thought of anthracite minilights on a silver Mini and 4 spots on the front - whadaya reckon...too much?
Also been having lustful thoughts about a Porsche
, sorry but the 993 variant of the 911 is kinda nice 
That's a bit in the future though...
(not literally cos the suspension should be better! )

Your all at it! Just get yourself a Wedge woman, cheap as chips and not regarded as a girl's car, so plenty respec' from the hairy chested ones.
There's a 390SE on Ebay at just over 2K at the mo... get stuck in!

Well there's only one thing we don't agree on then! But she is doing fine - an absolute joy to drive and kept me very sane and occupied yesterday between waiting to hear about mundane things like jobs. The Herts, Bucks, Oxon and Berks countryside all appreciated her too!
