Going to see a 944 S2 Cabrio, 1990, 114k mls tomorrrow. Lady owner bought it with 98k in 1998 and although it has had oil changes in that time it would appear little else in the way of servicing. So I would asume it will need the timing/cam belts changing straight away - does anyone have any idea of costs from a Porsche independent?

Apart from the usual things to look for (I have a check list) is there anything in particular to look for in a car that has done so little mileage over the last 6 years or so?

One problem she has told me about is the hood mechanism, which doesn't seem to close fully, the last bit has to be pulled in by hand - a common fault? Any known cure?

My first 'big' first service to ensure all bits in right place, change belts, full service and a few minor other on brakes, non opc was approx £900 in late 2003.
Don't know anything about cab roof. Only imho bit overpriced for less practical and usable car.
