I've just rebuilt my desktop, format and complete reinstall. For some reason when I receive e-mails with url's in the text space the url's are just text where before they were automatically converted to links. The OLEX help site doesn't appear to cover this and there's no obvious tick box on the Outlook Express 'Options' dialogue box.

Can anyone suggest a way to tell Outlook Express to turn these text strings into links?

Sounds like you have "read all messages as text" ticked under Tools > Options > Read.

Not a bad thing, as auto preview can lead to some nasties happening!

Just copy and paste the url into your browser.

I have the preview pain switched off so it's not as much of a concern to me. The "read all messages as text" is not ticked so that's not causing this. Thanks anyway

Oops. Just tried it again and it's OK now. Perhaps The "read all messages as text" was checked when these e-mails arrived.

So thanks again and it has answered my question
