Going to my first one on the 13th...have to take pots and pans to scare away the spirits

Anyone else been to one before ?

It used to be far better when you turned up with a shotgun, drank cider , sang songs in a orchard then shot skywards to scare the spirits away.

See perfectly reasonable behaviour.

I don't think the shotguns are the norm now , supposed to be dangerous!
