Is it really worth it?
You get a fee, I guess, but do you have to pay for food, drink, wes, etc?

Do you need a bass player?!!

Do you need to read dots, or are chord charts good enough?

Or even better the young attractive staff members?

Are the rumours of staff orgys true?

Everything is free except alcohol and internet, basically. The latter is my worst expense! No paying for wes as I am happily in a relationship. smilesmile

I am a soloist, no reading necessary, however the show band players need to be good sight readers.

I think there is a lot of exaggeration. There is a fair bit of partying amongst the crew, but since they mostly work 10 hours per day, 7 days per week, on the whole most of them are permanently exhausted. I am fortunate as I tend to get a night off once a week and the gig is around 3 hours per day.

So, as a soloist, how much repertoire do you need to be able to play that often, for that length of time? Sounds like 18 hours a week...Singing too?
