Bit of a long shot but does anyone on here know which direction the places are taking off at BHX today, plan to take my kids to see the A380 take off. Or if not know what website tells you. I did see a website, which I cant find now, which told you the direction of all UK airports.
I’ve got a friend in ATC there but he’s not at work today. The last weather report showed the wind wasn’t favouring either direction. Maybe have a look at flightradar24 and see what direction they’re going in?
Its far from the most graceful plane, but there's something mesmerising about the ponderous way it just kind of lumbers into the sky. The "apparent slowness" effect of its size I suppose, it just doesn't look like its going quick enough to have any right be be airborne.
