looking for mechanic recomendation for 66 Alpine

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good garage near Haslemere that can carry out work on Sunbeam Alpines? needs clutch fixing - suspect a hydraulic issue as it was sticking - but now not working at all, plus needs rear drums looking at - again suspect they are just sticking as car has not been driven for about a year.

The car also needs an MOT before it can be allowed back on the road - hence locality to Haslemere useful.

If it was ok before it was parked up, chances are that the clutch friction plate has stuck to the flywheel and/or the driven plate. Let the engine run for a good while to get everything nice and hot and and you may be able to bump it free either by towing the car, or starting it in gear and standing on the clutch and brakes once you have got a bit of speed up. This is provided that the brakes drums are just binding a bit, and not completely seized solid

thanks, this is pretty much what I did before - and then clutch wise everything seemed okay - this was about 6 months ago. Now yesterday (someone else has been to the car this time), they did the same thing, but now it appears that the clutch plate is not stuck and the pedal has gone very light and springy and doesn't engage the clutch at all

either way the car cannot be driven in it's current state and I am pretty sure it would fail an MOT so needs to go to a local ish garage to be fixed in order to pass an MOT.

The clutch slave cylinder sounds to have sprung a leak or even the master cylinder.
Common when they were still current models .
Always a danger of popping a seal when trying to free a clutch .
