Small business rates relief

I'm led to believe the small business rates relief scheme is only valid if you have one "Premises" (excluding home office etc)

Lets say I have one business location that qualifies for this, but also want to rent a storage unit... does that count as 2 premises?

Yup I believe so.. sneaky way is to rent one in Ltd company and one in personal name...

If you qualify for small business rates relief I think you can have a second property, however it has to have a very low rateable value. The solution is to have different companies occupying each unit.
