I have heard this story before, quite a while ago in fact.. not sure whether it is an urban myth or not...

[streaky]

Snopes considers it a hoax. It's been attributed to Australia and New Zealand and retold in the press of those countries as "a story going the rounds" rather than a news story.

'SafeSpeed' gets a mention in the Snopes article on the hoax - so 'shouts out' to Paul! [That is the current phrase, isn't it?]

It would be FAR easier to mock up a fake plate with the vans registration, attach it for a few hours and do the same thing.

Story been doing the rounds for over a year.

But it still make me smile each time I read it anyway...

But shhh!... .... we must keep this story away from my naughty kittens...especially our terrible twins ... they do not need such ideas ...

Steviebabes.... my kittens only pull faces at you ....really

On recent hiolidays... came across silliest thing in a motorway service station..Noddy car screeching to halt in front of Gatso mit eyes glued upwards at the scam Und it charged £1 for the photo....but we took our own of our kittens playing in this car... und these photos are priceless....
