The Qutest replaces the QuteEX with a New Casing and HUGO2 internals. It is minus the Headphone amp and batteries to keep the costs down. Retailing at £1195.
If it's as good as the Hugo2, and there's no reason why it wouldn't be, then that's a bargin, and will sound better than almost anything out there.env said:
Interesting. I asked about the Poly on here the other day... no response.
The Poly is pretty much the old HUGO I believe. Still a great DAC and quite cheap given the Tech. I go back a way with Rob Watts DAC designs having had the DPA PDM1 MK1, Mk2 and Mk3 and a DPA SX128 before buying a Chord DAC64.The Poly is a streamer/music player, but lacks an internal power supply, DAC and amplifier. It attaches to a Mojo which has all the required functions to make the Poly work.
The phono sockets on the Hugo2 look big enough to handle locking phono plugs, although I've never tried any. A visit to a dealer should answer that.

Sorry misread it. Should still work well. Chord and Watts haven't done much wrong with their DAC's and if you have that level of headphones it will sound pretty good. The phono sockets on the Hugo2 look big enough to handle locking phono plugs, although I've never tried any.
