Thinking of dipping into the RS3 market, seen a few post around that you can get a fairly new one for around 30k, are these just folks posting fantasy deals or will the dealers haggle??

Define fairly new...

I just sold my previous RS3 (2015 / 65 plate) to a dealer for a fair bit more than £30k. Values are still pretty high on these cars at present given the introduction of the face-lifted version in the latter half of 2017.

You'd easily be able to pick up the earlier (8P) model in this price range and you may be able to pick up an early version of the more recent model (8V) if you haggle well - for example, there is a red car on Autotrader with Reed Autos with a fairly basic spec up for £30,980. Awesome cars - happy shopping!
