Hi everyone,

I've FINALLY done it! Literally about 2 hours before I went on the MiniHoon I signed the paper that bought me the black S2 111S at Bell and Colvill (see this thread).

It's specs as follows....
MY 04 ('53 plate) S2 111S
9,300 miles
Black with black leather*
Air con
£23,000 !

however...* I did not want the black leather, and so my car is being sent back for a FULL retrim in red leather, including the gear stick/handbrake cable tunnel, all included in the price! Let's not forget, I'm also getting warranty until October 2006, and great service from B&C. So, while the price is slightly higher than it should be, the service, peace of mind, and retrim of course, all make me a very happy bunny indeed!!

I have not got the car yet, though, as the retrim is going to take a little time and there were a few things I wanted doing to the car also for the price so in two weeks (hopefully the Friday for bank holiday!) I'll be picking up my new baby

Wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who commented on my questions, gave advice, and generally helped with the decision to buy - appreciate all your help!

I will post pictures as soon as I get the car!

Thanks
Tony

Tony, how much is the retrim costing you? Email me if you like.

Interesting. I have my eye on an Elise on B&Cs forecourt. What are they like negotiation wise? You say you got the retrim included? I'm guessing that would cost maybe £750 if paid for privately so thay must have some margin for doing a deal. Are they receptive to a cash offer for used stock on their forecourt?

B&C are not that receptive to cash offers to take it away there and then, but you can do a deal with them on a whole load of other stuff. I bought my car from them and would buy another car off them no problem. I managed to negotiate a sports exhaust, a K&N, a cambelt service and a set of 4 Advan Neova tyres along with the standard 12 months B&C warranty on my car (which I've had a new steering rack out of so can't complain there). I think due to B&C's location and what they're selling they don't really have to discount as they know there's always someone else who will pay the price. I travelled all the way from North Wales for my car. Given that it's my first Elise, I liked the comparative safety of buying from a main dealer.
