Spending a packet on these @ Waitrose, anywhere decent to buy online and recommendations for type? I like it strong and black.

Are you wanting a bulk buy or variety?

I get beans from a company called Has Bean, it's a £6 or so DD for a bag once a month so it's not cheap but you get a great variety of coffees.

I found the Costco beans almost undrinkable.

Lidl's Bellarom Italian beans are bloody strong and bloody cheap compared to Waitrose. I have to set my bean to cup machine to mild when I use them. Tasty buggers they are.

I use Booker but also available at Makro (on-line) - https://www.makro.co.uk/lichfields-italian-espress...
In my (fairly basic and 5 year old Delonghi B2C) machine they make a nice cup - best taste/£ I've found so far and have been through a fair few Kg of beans!

I'm still a regular customer; an interesting variety of quality beans. I prefer buying from independent businesses too.

One recommendation here I've bought from

http://algcoffee.co.uk

The dark roasts should be class A drugs. Package is cutely wrapped in brown paper and string.

I buy from www.Happydonkey.co.uk, by far the best tasting I have bought, and quick service too. smile

I buy from pactcoffee.com, I quite enjoy it but the flavours are a bit more subtle than your average supermarket dark roast :-)

I buy from Union Coffee - their Revelation blend is what Goodwood serve. Very good it is too.

I buy beans for work and home from Mancoco in Manchester as it's near my office, they are my go-to place now... plus they make a good flat white while you wait for them to bag the beans. Very good coffee and service.

Hasbean also send us a bag to the office once a month from the 'secret stash' subscription.
