Insurance / Immobiliser requirements

Hi all,

I too am a new 'S' owner (Harry), though I haven't taken delivery yet. I've not had TVR's before and this is a late'89 S2 model. What I would like to know is :- can anyone recomend a good insurance company ?
I've not had much success so far, so would appriciate any help in this direction.

I've just got my renewal request from ClassicLine - and it does feel a little bit on the steep side.

Does anyone know which of the other insurers on Colin's list are happy to insure cars that have had engine rebuilds and Austec chips etc ... ?

Try Specialist Car Division on 0870 111 8963. I have a 6,000 mile/year restiction on a 1989 S2. Your age obviously will affect the quote, I'm 44 and garage the car each night. Cost me £254 fully comp which is well below other quotes.

Thanks guys, unfortunately they won't do ungaraged in London. It's not on the street - we have a hard standing - but that's not good enough.

Any other ideas anyone ?

Hi guys,

Thanks to those who helped with info on insurance.
From Colins list I contacted a number of 'Specialist' insurers, but my best quote came from Norwich Union!
so thanks again I'm now sorted. I collect car Monday!!
