The wife has put here foot down and one of the porkers has to go. The 968 cab drew the short straw. Where is the best place to sell such a car in the UK market ? Autotrader gives the impression of a dodgy motor, Porsche Post gets to too few people. EBAY is a bit scary and I dont want to sell to the trade since I already paid their mark up on buying and if I lose too much on the car she won't ever let me buy another.

Brief spec.

1992, Midnight Blue 968 Cab, Tiptonic 57,000m Grey Leather, Recent Cam belt, New Hood, Recent front discs and pads.

Thanks

I sold my Lotus Elise on this web site within 3 days at full asking price, and bought my Boxster S through Autotrader from a motor engineer. It's a fine car, really pleased with it, and bought at a good price too.

err...blindingly obvious, but has anyone mentioned pistonheads classifieds yet? I sold my stepfathers 944S2 within 4 days on the pistonheads site - free advert too!

nothing to lose by trying autotrader - some very nice motors there and plenty of porsches, both trade and private - so no reason to think people will feel your car is dodgy. just remember to put "no canvassers" on the ad. the internet site is pretty good, and quite reasonably priced.

POrsche Post similarly is fine, there's a bit of a lag on the advert but otherwise, why not? You'll probably get less hassle and less tyre kicking from someone who has bothered to subscribe to PCGB

err..edited to excuse my myopia. pistonheads already mentioned. worth another mention though!

and edited again to correct my spelling. think I'll go and have a little lie down

have you thought of getting the wife to put her foot down whilst in the driving seat of the 968? maybe she would change her mind?!
if youre selling the 968, what are you keeping? please tell me its a 911 of some sort and not a girlie boxster....

Well actually its a boyish 996, a manly 964 (lowered and mean) and a hairy arsed 928. You can see why I had to sell one !
