Why do Cayman headliners seem to fail on USA cars?

Noticed quite a lot of YouTube vids and instances on tintedweb of cayman headliners separating due the foam failing and the material dropping onto the owners head. Anyone had this in the UK? Why does it seem to happen in the US cars? It’s humid here in the uk being the permawet, damp rock it is. We also get hot car interior temps in the summers too for the one day it shines.
I'm only guessing here from a couple of touring holidays that I have done around the Rocky Mountains across a few states (Colorado, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah) where summer temperatures can easily exceed 45'C in the shade (>60'C on the open road) and yet winter temperatures can drop below -20'C with a metre of snow. Put that range of temperatures together and the roads will actually warp and crack, and need rebuilding every few years.
So, I can easily imagine that the foams and adhesives submit to the differing rates of expansion and the basic heat and fail in spectacular ways.
Compared to that, the UK is extremely temperate.
