Hi

As a first timer this year I'm trying to get my head round viewing areas, I was wondering, is there public access between the Ford Chicane and Porsche Curves?

On TV I dont recall seeing spectators, aside from the old Karting building roof which I understand is no more. Aside from the Travel Destinations private viewing in the curves, is there anywhere the public can access between the Ford Chicane and the Curves, I understand there is a public area near Beasjour on the inside by the latter?

Thanks

Nosynchro

Yes there is public viewing on the inside of the first Porsche curve. A large banked area with refreshments. Can also view from the outside of that curve but in the last couple of years maybe restricted to those camping there. After the last curve you can view the run up to the chicanes including on the new karting roof. The fence takes you close to the action

There's also the bank on the outside of the track just down from the Ford chicane accessed through Maison Blanche campsite

Yeh you can, if you walk back down the track from the ford chicane then you can walk through the go kart track. We did this last year during the Thursday night quali. My Mate can be seen enjoying the view below, we were stood on the tyre barrier near the big red arrow on the map.

You can also get a view in the rectangular gravel hospitality car park (on pic above the red arrow) which runs from Ford Chicane back to Corvette curve (where the blue track markings end)

We have been watching from the top of the karting garages.... last year the hospitality unit was empty when we arrived for the 'happy hour' at dawn and they have very kindly left nice chairs and chilled bottled water for us.... watched Collard's crash
