Drivetrain Error

I have a 116d Manual, 2013. Tonight the drivetrain error came up where it says performance may be affected etc.
The error came up when I was stuck in traffic but I totally lost all power and the revs were going up and down. I restarted the engine a few times but couldnt get any power.
After the 5th attempt the car started normally and the car was fine after that.
Any ideas? And should I get it checked, or maybe just wait to see if it does it again?
