Is there a dermatologist in the house?

This appeared suddenly on my son’s face this afternoon. It’s not an injury, my best guess is some sort of fungal infection but it’s quite aggressive.

Any ideas please?

Now I’m not a dermatologist but that looks very like impetigo to me.
