Can't sell/won't sell

My Griff' has been for sale longer than I care to think about. I did have a very strong buyer a couple of months ago but the deal turned off at the last moment (my fault).
It seems that only Griff's to sell are through dealers, very few private sales like mine. I thought the price is very fair altho seeing some at under 10k seems surreal.
Rob ingleby has inspected my car and was very happy with it, so where am I going wrong.

just bought my 4.3 for £15k with 46k on the clock
cranked up ... i considered your car, the prob is the colour, especialy the interior.... IMHO ... no offence ment i am sure its a great car, but i dismissed it on colour alone (mainly interior)
Similar prob with a totally sorted S... all major things done.... no reply to advert cos the price a £1k above the the wrecks.....why can't the see the extra K is a saving in the long run... (blame the missus in how much money spent)

If anything, the price seems to cheap to me... in fact if I were looking I'd probably dismiss it (rightly or wrongly) as there being something wrong with the car.
From the pictures it certainly looks a nice example, but selling cars is a funny old game.
Personally, buying privately didn't bother me. I had the car thoroughly inspected and have purchased a warranty for the car - so I have virtually the same cover as you get with a dealer, only I got to chose the level of cover.
Oh, and potentially saved a few quid on dealer pricings.
Wait for the weather to brighten up a bit and you should be in luck.

I couldn't be certain about which is your's Cranked, but I can see two ways of looking at it...
1) You're happy to wait until someone will give you the money you want; or
2) See what you'll get from a dealer if you really have to shift it.
In the first case it might help if you took it off the market fo a few months as potential buyers might be put off by someone telling them "that's been up for sale for ages so there must be something wrong with it". After all, another summer with the beast can't be a bad thing.
In the second case, you aren't committed to sell so you can take any price as advice.
From a purely selfish view it's nice to see that bottom end Griffs are coming down to bottom end Chim prices as there's not a lot to choose between them. I hope that both will at least stabilise, if not climb in the next few years.

Strange but when my S went up for sale, I was fielding 2-3 calls a day on it. Within 4 days there was about 6 viewing booked, but the first buyer (jons3) took it. Even after it was gone I continued getting calls about it for a week or so.
It think it's just the market.

Sounds familiar... had a call within 10 minutes of it going up for sale. Had 3 people look at it in the first week... 1 made me an offer, 1 said it wasn't concours (I never siad it was), the third drove it and bought it.

In that case, take it off the market… wait for the first decent weekend of proper sun (so a couple of weeks then) wait for the whole world to post on PH "I need a Griff" etc etc… and then put it back on the market - at a sensible price.
