i have owned my s1 since buying it last summer i read a message that the first 20 had double bonnet pulls my s1 has and it is white in colour with blue vinyl interier anyone know when leather was first used by the way the car is f reg date of reg 09/02/1988 E424 TWX

anyone come across this car before as i have no history many thanks

You'v got Ambla which was standaerd on the S1. Leather was an option which became standard for the S3 although I think most S2s had the leather option.

You've probably already found the ambla just as good to use and looks the same. Its no worse in the hot weather as I have found the leather seats can get just as sweaty on a long journey. The main difference is caused by having a light colour, black interiors can cook you.
And finally its easier too clean and soon dries off if it gets wet.

Whats the performance like ? ive driven a couple of 2.8 cars recently and they were different
