This might be a stupid question but.....

If I were to buy a AUC from a BMW dealer that shows it has Service Inclusive for five years/50000 miles, does that mean I don’t have to pay for servicing for that window ...... or just don’t have to pay for the oil, air and fuel filter changes?

Also I assume these are fully transferable when the car is sold on?

If so, I just need to worry about the warranty?

Seems rather good!! I also assume I don’t need to be too worried about the car being serviced before I collect it!

The service pack stays with the car so yes you’ll be covered for the period you mentioned, all free of charge.

When I bought an AUC I was told anything that needs doing within the next 6 months will be done prior to collection, but the car I bought never had a service pack so that may not be the case with the car your looking at as anything your car will need service wise will be done FOC.

Try and negotiate a 2 year warranty instead of the 12 month one if your car is coming to the end of its factory warranty.

The servicing covered by SI is oils, other liquids, filters and a brake fluid change at 3yo. SI+ covers brakes as well. It does stay with a used vehicle.

With a diesel, you're only ever likely to get 2 services in either 5 years or 50k. More recent deals are only 30k/3 years I believe.

yes, since Dec 2016 tho it may change again, it's 3 years or 36k miles.
If family keep the X1 diesel, we'll get 2 oil services and the vehicle check. I'm pretty sure that's still good value.

My 530D didn’t have its second service until almost 40k and 3 months short of being 4yo.

I’m sure it’s possible. If you get 36k in inside the 3 years, with a service at 18k and 36k.

I’ll bet an awful lot don’t though, and they probably are worse off with a Service pack since the change. ( I understand that it costs a similar amount to the old 5/50k product?)

£299 , at about 16,600 it got first oil service.

On 19k now and it’s saying 15k to both vehicle check and oil service.

So easily 3 services within 36k

It’s just 10 months old.

I’d say lower mileage drivers won’t get two oil services but they will get brake fluid service as that is at a set date within 3 years (02/20 in my case) which so far hasn’t changed.

Whether the Vehichle check is always within 3 years irrespective of mileage , I’m not sure.

If that were the case, seems minimum everyone would get is oil , brake fluid and vehicle check. That must be good value ?
But without vehicle check , so just one oil and a brake fluid I’m not so sure ?
