B9 Audi A4 Interior Lights

Interior lights appear to have thrown a wobbler. They all work when you turn them on manually. But they don't work when any of the doors are opened.

Also, the red lights in the trailing edge of the doors have stopped working too.

The switch in the roof isn't making any difference. Has anyone else come across this?

65 reg Audi A4 1.4 SE.

Presume you need the main headlight switch to be on Auto for this to work? Have you turned it off accidentally? Or kept it on the "on" position, so the headlights turn on all the time with the key in?
