PH search returning nothing after 5th April

Sometime last week, I used the search function for something I wanted to find, but it didn't return any results, hence I came to the conclusion that I was going a bit mad.

I tried again today for something I know I saw today, again nothing. I tried again with some very common words (e.g. camera, police, the), with all combinations of search string setting, over several forums, search 'dates' to "last week" - again, nothing!

Changing the search 'dates' to "last month" I found that the search function is only returning data/words posted up to the 5th of April (the day the search died), but nothing afterwards!!!!!

That's why I can't find any of my stuff

Any chance of sorting it out soon Ted?

I think Ted mentioned that the current temporary search uses an archive so it will only search dates before the last archive creation date.

I looked for some clues like that, I obviously didn't do a good job of it.

New archive being created now. Give it 15 mins or so and it should work.

Search appears to be completely gone now - search page is blank!

I hope todays attempt of the archive update wasn't the reason for the total outage of PH.

Well it was but it was down to me mishandling it

I did stumble across one of the reasons that the site has been running slow though which is one unexpected bonus.
