In Greek mythology the Chimaera was a fire breathing creature with the body of a lion, a goats head from its back and a serpent as a tail… hence the term Chimaera (or even Chimera) is used commonly to refer to something that is a bit of a mixture of various things…

Chimaera (kye-MEE-ruh)
