The Fiat will definitly be replaced by the MG ZR (the one based on the 25). My cousin works for a Rover dealer who already supply performance cars. My sister had one of the early MGFs. Yes I am a MG fan and proud of it. I once owned an MG Metro turbo in 1986 and that was a quick, economical and almost reliable car. The ZR is just the sort of car that BMW should have made!

if the artists impression looks anything like the real thing then it will be a stonker, if realistically priced. Have to say the original Qvale styling leaves me cold,I think a sportscar should have either MX 5 style cuteness,Griff beauty, Tuscan aggression or Elise single minded purity
It was rumored on Pistonheads that they were looking to use the Lotus V* in the 'ultimate 75' I suppose they would probably use that - hmmm on second thoughts that engine is really expensive, £20k I think AC have to pay for it. American V8 would be a better bet for Rover/MG - reliable and cheap. You can tune most of the Yankke V8's pretty easily to get over 400bhp too.

Am I the only one who’s sceptical about a Rover competing with Porsche and Maserati? Luckily it will be sold in NA, where the Rover name is cleaner. But I don’t foresee a great future for it in Europe. And if I’m not mistaken (my data is a few months old), it’s Europe who’s buying the Rover 75. That’s b/c it has great value/money, and everybody is in the market for a luxury sedan. But I don’t know that many people who are in the market for an American V8 2seater, even if it has great value/money.

Don't get me wrong,I'm all for TVR (I'm now buying one) as MG (already have one)but I think MG are going to disprove a lot of people over the next few years.Be great for the UK to produce loads of great sports cars again.
No,No,No,No,No! This is all wrong. The whole MG revival thing is fun, but makes no sense. Tuning a few Honda-derived 200s & 400s (or whatever they are called now) may give MG Rover a boost, but buying Qvale (Qvale is, apparently Italian for 'money pit'!) and sinking what little recorces they have in to is a mistake. Especially when they have no new mainstream cars in the pipelines. It would have been A LOT wiser to spend the money on teaming up with a manufacturer like Dawoo, and develiping a new Focus rival.
