E65/E66 7 Series

I fancy something comfortable to waft about in and having just seen how cheap the last of the E65/E66 7 series are I thought I'd do something completely unlike me and undertake a bit of research first.

Nearly all of them seem to be 730D which don't really float my boat, however there are a couple of 750i which most certainly do and the odd 730i which seems like the sensible choice. MPG isn't really an issue it's more which is the least likely 7 to go pop in a way that means I have to spend a weekend fixing it.

Any advice on common issues or variants to avoid would be much appreciated and gratefully received!

730i is a lovely drive if you’re not concerned about mpg. The N52 is a reliable old engine. Be aware that some costs can be high such as tyres.
