Talisman in the Tasmin?

Found this rolling around in the fuel tank (nonfill side).
Looks like some sort of plug, but isn't threaded.
I don't see a drain hole remnant.
Is it anything important?

Anyone else find a lucky charm?

Strange....The only thing I have found in Wedge fuel tanks was about a lb of rust in the off side tank of the 280i...
