F31 320 buying advice
Discussion
I've got a e91 330D m sport which I'm happy with.
My brother is now looking at buying a 63 plate 3 Series 2.0 320d M Sport Touring xDrive Auto - I didn't consider the 4 cylinder when buying mine, anything specific to look out for problem area wise? Found one that's done around 120k, but has full BMWSH with it and it's really tidy looking.
Any pointers or things to avoid?

I'd say if you get one, don't expect great fuel economy unless you are prepared to drive it sedately for the majority. I have (I think) the same engine (or similar) in a 2017 X1, it's not slow by any means. But because I'm used to (100k miles in 6 years) six cylinder cars (and still have a M3) I'm driving it in a similar vein than I did my last daily drivers. So I'm only actually getting 5 p per mile saving on fuel over the 325i and about 8p over the 335i
Makes me think, the saving over a 330 engined car would be irrelevant or maybe a 330'd be better as I would drive it less in sport mode

Had an F31 328i for 3 years, I would say this is the biggest issue to the 320i.
Almost identical fuel consumption as the 320i but 60 Bhp more. I averaged 35mpg overall driving normally, with a real mix of motorway and urban.
Only problem I had in 40K was a failed catalytic convertor which was fixed under warranty, never heard of any issues with the 2.0T.
