Haulage Luxembourg to UK

Hi Guys,

We have secured some distribution work with a new customer, the products will be sent to us from the Manufacturer in Luxembourg to our Head Office in Manchester.

They have given us a quote for road haulage from luxembourg to manchester, however this seems a little steep from my point of view.

19 Pallets
800kg per pallet
dimensions = 1650 x 1050mm per pallet
can they double stack = No

Does anyone have any recommendations for companies to use for this type of service?

Is this regular business, or would it be a one off?

Can you send me confirmation of the 3rd dimension of the pallet? Normally it is provided by length x width x height.

What is the collection address in Luxembourg, and full delivery address in Manchester.

If you need any help give PM me. But an arctic is 13600mm long and you have 1650mm pallets. You would be able to get two pallets side by side or 1 pallet across the width of a truck. But either way you will need more than 1 truck to carry this lot. You would only be able to carry 16 pallets on 1 truck.

You don't need the height so long as they are less than about 2.4m high or 2.9 high if using mega trailers. Weight is no issue.

You will pay around £2600-2800 from Luxembourg for a standard arctic. You would then get the remainder on a 3m part load.
