Conti5.

If you can I'd look at the Goodyear Eagle F1 A3s or the Michelin PS4s too.

PS4s out of them 2, last longer than the Goodyear’s & a better tyre, I got 9k out of the rears on a BMW I had with the Goodyear’s

Neither. I got less than 7k miles out of Continental 5s.

Now on the Goodyear Eagle F1 - much better tyre so far.

Do you mean Sport Contact 5? If so very good tyres for grip and comfort, terrible for wear. Try Goodyear Eagle F1 or Pirelli P Zero Nero GT.

Personally thought them excellent for exactly the same reasons as you thought not so.

I only ever chose my tyres based on grip as that is their function.

Conti SC2s will last twice as long as SC5!!

Had both on my E46 330ci.

The 5s did 17k on the rear. 2s did 35k.

Both had the same performance.

GY F1 A2s also good on my 2012 TTS and 2014 Cayman 981. The latter has been on F1s for 21.5k. Fronts 6mm remaining, rears 4.5mm. As good as the Contis for performance.
