I've replaced the pads and sensor and tried the normal reset via the trip button as per YouTube many times to no avail?

I then bought a Foxwell NT415 which says it will reset the service on BMW brakes but will not communicate with the car in this mode despite doing so fine with the engine systems?

What methods have been successful for anyone? I can arrange for a garage to reset but would prefer a DIY solution.

I had mine done a couple of years ago and the specialist could not get an aftermarket sensor to reset, changed it to a genuine one and it still would not reset, kept coming up saying only 9k miles on the new pads, never did get a resolution and the car went back at the end of the lease showing around 4k life when it should have been nearer 25k or so

I bought my f10 from bmw used and on way home brake warning came up even though it had just had new discs and pads. I tried reset but it wouldn’t. Took it into bmw who had to replace the sensor even though it had just been renewed it was faulty.

I have not done this yet but I have done a little research because I will have to change pads soon. I found the thread below which looks good:

Go to post number 8.
He seems to be saying that if any of the sensors on the car are not new, the system will not reset and he shows a way around this.
It is worth reading the whole thread because it seems that if the reset procedure is tried with a part-worn sensor in place, it causes other errors in the system.
