Just had an enquiry on a £350 item we have listed on eBay, the gentleman claims to reside in Canada but wants to purchase the item & have us ship it to his partner in the UK. My main concern is if we don't ship to the Paypal verified address he could open a claim against us that we would almost certainly lose?

He seems to have a high number of 100% feedback so seems genuine but not keen to risk £350, any ideas?

It's a surprise birthday present he says.

Tell him to surprise her with something else. Not worth the hassle.

I wouldn't do it - too much hassle now being a seller on ebay...
just reply - that you are sorry, you can only send to an address linked to paypal...

if he wants a surprise, then he can always find another friend with paypal local to the destination who can buy it...

Oddly enough he's had a change of heart & decided to change his mind when we wouldn't budge on a secure payment method.

Thanks for all the replies.
