Does this qualify for a warranty claim

Appears to be corrosion that reminds me of my Lexus IS200 however I’m not sure how BMW will act, warranty expires September 2018. 2 year premium car should not have corrosion on the alloys. I am 95% sure it is but I thought I’ll ask you kind folk before I book it in tomorrow morning.

It’s so annoying as my car keeps going back to BMW for ridiculous little things that aren’t big problems, just small annoying ones, it doesn’t help how useless the staff are in general either! I love my BMW but things like this just let the brand down, from brake squeal to rattling speakers to a loose belt creating a squeak in the engine to the 300 quid oil & filter change. Fix up!

I'm not entirely convinced BMW will cover this.

Their argument could potentially be that a stone has chipped the wheel and moisture has penetrated the finish.

Porsche didn't on a client's 991.

Plenty have had wheels replaced by BMW - diamond cut wheels are notorious for doing this across all the brands from what I've seen.

They will probably say it is self inflicted, maybe you hit a kerb or central reservation or something similar.

It is not my day, I had washed my car, spotted that on the wheel and 2 stone chips on the bonnet...on my way home, I run over a fking Fox, came out of nowhere, weren’t even speeding there was a car in front of me...they say these things come in 3’s, it must be true

Thanks anyways, I’m going to have to call it in tomorrow for the wheel, dreading the 2 week wait to have it looked at with the unenthusiastic BMW staff & st coffee
