Sad for the owner; think I have seen the registration in a photo before (P2NPG), but don't know the car.

Possibly a split fuel pipe. They perish right above the number 8 spark plug and hot exhaust....

Hopefully the insurance company pay out promptly, and fairly, as I guess there's no rebuilding that?

Although I did notice a griff body on eBay the other day whistle

Yipes!!!

I had an XJS back in the early 80s. My brother wanted to drive it, and when I finally let him he got in, turned the key, and it burst in to flames. One little hose from the fuel rail to injector. He didn't even get it out of the parking spot.

...and sometimes they crack from the inside out, so there's no prior warning. (mine did....whilst the car was being motd, it was scary as hell!)
