I've been looking for a low mileage (sub 60k) E60 535d for a while now but they are a rare find aren't they?

I know they are at least 9 years old now but still, given their popularity I would have thought a few would have cropped up.

The ones that have all seem to have beige interiors

I know someone who might be selling his E61 and its 60k miles or something like that. Silver, black leather, 58 plate I think. I know you said E60 but would a touring also work?

I'd be afraid of a big complex diesel with such little mileage like that. Any particular reason for the low mileage ? You know it's diesel rite biggrin

Likewise. Town journeys are about the worst thing for a modern diesel engine.

Actually yes I may well be interested.

I know of someone who has a 535d '07 LCI, it's done 60K miles... 3 times. It's been utterly reliable and to be honest feels almost new to drive. No interior wear, squeaks or rattles.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about getting something with a higher mileage - especially if it's got a decent spec.

Mine only had just over 20k on it when I bought it 5 years ago, September '08 registered, now on 103k. Two injectors packed up on it not long after, luckily covered under the BMW approved used warranty, but I'd heard that low use, short journeys etc. can cause these things to fail.

Suspect you'd be lucky to find one with sub 80k on it and even if you did then it will probably be wanting a new DPF soon smile

Of course they are, they are 10-14 years old, who buys a 535d to do 2k a year in?

Indeed they would be and what is magical about 60k? My car has just ticked over to 63k and drives like it did at 5k miles.

They don't suddenly explode.
