The tyre pressure monitoring system is a waste of time anyway, but mine has gone haywire.

Within seconds of starting the carn it flashes red that tyre pressures are too low. They are not.

There are no nails in the tyres and after some time the warning goes off.

I can't be bothered to pay what Audi want to sort it out. Is there a fuse I can take out to disable the system?

It's pointless on most cars and i really don't want it to be active. Any ideas welcome.

Another question - I need a genuine new front grille RS4 badge. Any ideas where to get one?

Thanks

It could be the TPM antenna has become faulty which is located behind the rear bumper (a common problem). It;s a relatively simple fix (if the problem), and probably much easier than trying to disable the TPM altogether. hehe

As above, antenna failing is common and a straight forward fix.

I was having similar issues with the system and come tyre change time, I removed the sensors on the valves and had the TPMS coded out by a local VW specialist with the OBD lead/VAG-COM software. Cost £25 from memory, no errors, no warnings, exactly what I wanted.

If you have a cable;
To disable TPMS – go to 17 – Instruments and then go to the Adaptation module. In the Adaptation module, switch to Channel 061 then subtract 512 from the number that is displayed.

Wow that's quite advanced but looks like a good solution.

Quite like the trick your car into thinking it's a Gallardo idea!
