I’m stood on a train and a gaggle of girls are mulling what they would do should you be half way across a level crossing and the barriers go down. 2 reply accelerate through the barrier, the other 2 are insistent that the official ruling is to stop you car and get out and walk to safety.
Why???
Why???

Sat in a restaurant with a young couple sat on the next table, I overhear the lad talking to his date about food stuffs, and while filling his face with chips he comments "If it comes out of the ground I don't eat it!"

I wore earphones for the rest of the journey but as we were getting off I overheard her ask if Poland was in Germany.
Two women on a plane from Belfast to London, worked for one of the big accountancy firms, and we coming over to a workshop event.
They had a set of topics to discuss and between them they had to speak for 5 mins about each topics, so they were discussing who would take which topic at the workshop. Dividing the topics out between them
And one says "The Art of Delegation"....I'm good at delegation so I'll take that one."
Surely she should have said "The Art of Delegation"....I'm good at delegation so you take that one."

Unless the other topic was an absolute stinker which neither of them particularly wanted to do, then she'd be a good delegator! They had a set of topics to discuss and between them they had to speak for 5 mins about each topics, so they were discussing who would take which topic at the workshop. I know someone who says this exact phrase, and eats chips. Did he have a big bushy beard?Taking 3 people to Heathrow in my taxi years ago, we stopped in traffic in Cromwell Road, Kensington, opposite
an Italian restaurant which had a sign saying "We specialise in shellfish, Lobster, Scampi, Prawns and Mussels."
One bright spark said, "Look at that, they've spelt mussels wrong, surely they know it's muscles."

And yet, if you go up to Conwy where they're fished/farmed/caught or whatever:an Italian restaurant which had a sign saying "We specialise in shellfish, Lobster, Scampi, Prawns and Mussels."
