Due to the nature of the more recent posts concerning Autocraft I've had to remove the thread.

Whilst facts from Companies House were presented, there was also a certain amount of intepretation of those facts which may or may not have been fair on the company concerned. Autocraft have contacted us and expressed their concerns about how they were being betrayed and once again we're into a 'naming and shaming' type scenario.

It is not for PH to make judgements either way, but we do respect their concerns about how they were being portrayed.

I once again urge members to think carefully about what they write on a public forum. You are liable for the comments you make and in extreme circumstances we are obliged to disclose your details if legal proceedings are undertaken.

To give Autocraft a fair right to reply I have included their comments below:

The facts are as follows. Autocraft Engineering Ltd was formed on 22 January
2001 by Dave Davies and a colleague with the purpose of providing a service
to modify motor vehicles. This was based on Dave Davies's track record of
successfully modifying vehicles over a number of years. This company traded
from premises in Wilton, Salisbury but was limited in growth by premises and
capital. I was a customer of Autocraft Engineering Ltd and was so impressed
by their expertise in building a supercharged 3.5 litre engine for me that I
initiated negotiations to become a shareholder.

During 2002 Rob Smith, another customer of Autocraft Engineering, was
equally impressed and together with Dave Davies we formed Autocraft
Automotives Ltd on 17 February 2003 and Autocraft SVE Ltd on 22 February
2003. We decided to trade with Autocraft SVE Ltd and allow Autocraft
Automotive Ltd to be dissolved since we preferred SVE in the name. Autocraft
Automotives Ltd never traded and was dissolved on 23 November 2004.
Autocraft Engineering Ltd was dissolved to avoid any issue with Dave
Davies's previous partner and the agreed assets from Autocraft Engineering
Ltd were transferred to Autocraft SVE Ltd and all outstanding debts were
settled.

Autocraft SVE Ltd trades from 5000 square feet premises in Harnham,
Salisbury just a few miles from the Wilton address. My colleagues and I have
invested a considerable amount of our personal funds in Autocraft SVE Ltd
(which is entirely privately owned) since we have faith in the company's
expertise and a desire to provide a first class service to our customers.

I cannot understand the motive of your member ccookemobile in interpreting
the publicly available information (wrongly) in this defamatory manner
unless motivated by a competitor. We are striving to provide a much-needed
service to the TVR community in resolving technical issues with the Speed 6
engine and will potentially be investing in tooling and production runs to
provide the upgraded components. As a shareholder, I have concerns about the
viability of the market if the TVR community are swayed by such misleading
postings and we may choose to invest our efforts elsewhere.

At 1322 on 18 April 2005 the member known as Julian64 posted the following

"Anthony p uSHer, or ASH, your secret is out

Tell me it isn't so ASH? "

I can add that I've met Ash and he is not Antony Usher.

I once again urge everyone to think before you post.
