S8 2012 owners opinions.

I am considering selling my much loved Phaeton V10 and need a general purpose daily to replace it. I've looked at the A8 W12 but not too sure as to whether I'm that keen on it now. So the latest S8 with the 'hot V' looks to be a sensible choice.
I'm still undecided about the hot V configuration long term but perhaps wait a while to see if there is a major flaw in the design that will come back and bite owners in the backside.
I'm guessing those cars on lease will be on the market soon so will wait and see what comes up in the future, meantime any feedback from existing owners would be appreciated. As I normally take ages to make my mind up I thought now would be a good time to start research.
