I'm off to Romania

I've lived with Romanians - AMA. However in short, their culture is far too different from those accustomed to western first world countries - they're some of the coldest people I've ever met.
I found the complete opposite with my Romanian colleagues at a previous company. Maybe they're a diverse bunch of people not easily pigeon-holed into a single personality type

Same, met a bunch at Le Mans about 10 years ago, meet up every year now. These guys are the most down to earth friendly lots I've ever met.
Am going out next week to Timisoara, thats well worth a visit and Cluj, but avoid Bucharest.
Their culture and hospitality are great, just be wary if invited to a palinca drinking session!, if home distilled its usually about 60% abv
Would recommend a trip to the pub attached the Timisoreana brewery and sample some of their fabulous unfiltered beer along with a big plate of Mici, a delicious grilled sausage, the perfect pub snack.
