Hi

I've been offered a deal on a new 2017 Merc on a PCP. Reg date was 30/9/17 and it has delivery mileage. It has remaining warranty which covers the lease agreement but I was wondering, if it's been sitting in a dealer's yard for 4 months, are there any pre-purchase conditions I should stipulate, e,g, MB vehicle inspection the same as they do for Approved Used cars?

It's an AMG so can't imagine that sitting still for 4 months has been good for it...

Any thoughts?

As the warranty covers the lease period I can't see why you're worried.

Wouldn't worry about it. They'll probably PDI and prep it at that stage anyway.

A large percentage of new cars have been sitting around for months in fields, on disused airport runways etc My Alfa had been sitting at the factory for over a year before I got it in 2017.
Don't be put off by just a few months, a few years hanging around might throw up a few issues.

Only issue to look for is paintwork state...no doubt it would had been cleaned with a scour pad and soapy water.

As above, loads of cars sit around for ages before being registered. The fact it's an AMG also makes no difference (genuine AMG or one of the bazillion models Mercedes now stick an AMG badge on).
